Bio. Dr. Maecker received a BS in Microbiology from Purdue University and a PhD in Cancer Biology from Stanford University. Pringle Lab About the Pringle Lab For many years, the Pringle laboratory has exploited the awesome power of yeast as a genetically tractable model eukaryote to investigate fundamental problems in cell and developmental biology such as the mechanisms of cell polarization and of cytokinesis. Yang Lab. My research group focuses on understanding the mechanisms responsible for viral replication and development of new strategies to combat viral pathogens. We combine chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, and molecular virology approaches to tackle challenges in both basic and translational research.
